Assembly Minority Leader Brian M. Kolb (R,C-Canandaigua) Recognized By Top Business Advocacy Organizations

Yesterday, the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) and Unshackle Upstate - two of the state's most prominent pro-taxpayer, pro-business advocacy organizations - made announcements recognizing Assembly Minority Leader Brian M. Kolb (R,C-Canandaigua) for his leadership and commitment to New York State's small businesses.

"I am honored to once again receive NFIB's distinguished 'Guardian Award,' and I thank Unshackle Upstate for its continued confidence in my support of New York's businesses," Leader Kolb said. "Small businesses were eviscerated during this past legislative session. We need more voices in Albany who understand the challenges our businesses face, and have the courage to stand up against politically-driven policies that threaten job creators."

For the seventh time, Leader Kolb was honored with NFIB's "Guardian Award," the organization's highest honor. The distinguished award was presented to Leader Kolb and only six other elected officials in Albany for their leadership and commitment to New York State's small business owners.

Unshackle Upstate released its 2015-2016 legislative scorecards which grade Senate and Assembly members on their business-friendly budget and legislative activity, including votes and sponsorship of bills. Leader Kolb was awarded a score of 88 percent, the highest grade for any elected legislative leader in the state.

Leader Kolb is the only legislative leader in Albany who has owned and run a successful business. More information about the recognitions can be found on the NFIB and Unshackle Upstate websites.
