Brian M. Kolb (R,C,I,Ref-Canandaigua) Unanimously
Re-Elected as Assembly Minority Leader

New York State Assembly Minority Leader Brian M. Kolb (R,C,I,Ref-Canandaigua) issued the following statement after being unanimously re-elected as Leader of the Minority Conference:

"It is an honor to be re-elected by my colleagues as Leader of the Assembly Minority Conference. I am proud to have the support and confidence of my colleagues. Their faith and confidence in me is truly humbling.

In only a few weeks, we will be back in Albany to carry out the people's work. I am thrilled to report that once again all of our incumbents are returning, and we will welcome seven new members to our Conference. I look forward to working alongside these dedicated men and women throughout this legislative session and for years to come.

The Assembly Minority Conference will continue to fight for ideas and policies that will ease the financial burdens on hardworking families; create good jobs and stimulate the economy; and restore faith in government by advancing stronger, more comprehensive ethics reforms.

I am proud to lead a Conference that will stand up for what is right in order to improve the quality of life for every man, woman and child in our great state."

Leader Kolb was elected to the State Assembly in 2000. He was elected as Leader of the Minority Conference in 2009. Leader Kolb is the longest-tenured Conference Leader in the state Legislature.
