Speaker Silver Welcomes MediaMath to Lower Manhattan

Today's announcement that global technology company MediaMath has signed a 15-year lease for space in 4 World Trade Center is another positive step forward for my community and is the kind of development I had hoped to encourage when I championed the extension of critical financial tax incentives for Lower Manhattan businesses earlier this year. Because of our efforts, companies are continuing to relocate to downtown and our community is thriving.

This good news comes on the heels of the agreement announced last month to advance the construction of 3 World Trade Center. It has taken many years and we have been through so much, but we have made significant progress and our investments are paying off. The opening of the 9/11 Memorial and Museum along with the increased occupancy of the World Trade Center strengthens our neighborhoods and will bring even more businesses, residents and retailers to this area. I commend Governor Cuomo and Mayor de Blasio for their leadership in helping us rebuild downtown's business district and ultimately develop a vibrant 24/7 commercial and residential community in and around the World Trade Center site.
