ASSEMBLY STANDING COMMITTEE ON SMALL BUSINESS
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Economic Development, Job Creation, Commerce and Industry Committee oversees the State's economic development programs administered through the Department of Economic Development and the Empire State Development Corporation. In addition, the Committee is responsible for oversight of the State Liquor Authority. The SFY 2013-2014 Department of Economic Development's budget is $82.6 million, the Empire State Development Corporation budget is $42.5 million and the State Liquor Authority's budget is $19 million. The Small Business Committee shares in the oversight of the programs funded through the Department of Economic Development and the Empire State Development Corporation that impact small businesses in the State. The purpose of this hearing is to examine the overall impact of the 2013-2014 budget on economic development programs and the implementation of State funded initiatives at the State Liquor Authority.
Ten copies of any prepared testimony should be submitted at the hearing registration desk. The Committee would appreciate advance receipt of prepared statements.
