Budget Highlights

The Governors Office of Regulatory Reform (GORR) was created in 1995 and focuses on the oversight of State regulations, provides information on regulatory requirements, and attempts to expedite regulatory approval.

This Office is included in the Public Protection and General Government appropriation bill.

The Executive recommends an All Funds appropriation of $3,365,000 for State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2004-05, reflecting a net increase of $250,000 or eight percent from SFY 2003-04.

State Operations

The Governor recommends a State Operations General Fund appropriation of $3,365,000, reflecting an increase of $250,000 from SFY 2003-04, which includes:

  • a $256,000 nonpersonal service (NPS) increase to fund the fourth phase of enhancements to the Online Permit and Licensing System (OPAL); and

  • a $6,000 net decrease in funding reflecting net adjustments to the cost of continuing current programs, including salary and other fixed costs.
