Assemblywoman Gunther Statement on Middletown Enlarged City School District Efficiency Award

Monticello, NY – The Middletown Enlarged City School District has been awarded $545,565 from New York State for identifying a total of $519,583 in cost-savings. The savings were realized by the creation of a public school library self-service check-out program. The funds will be distributed to the district over a three year period.

“Once again, the Middletown School District has distinguished itself by thinking out-of-the-box,” said Assemblywoman Gunther. “Superintendent Ken Eastwood and the entire staff have, time and time again, demonstrated that a district can provide an outstanding education to students while living up to their responsibility to taxpayers.”
