Albany, NY – Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther (D,I,WF – Forestburgh) announced Assembly passage of legislation that allows the Town of Wallkill in Orange County to hire the Comptroller of their choice (A.8962/S.6751).

“I’m a firm believer in home rule,” said Assemblywoman Gunther. “When the Town Supervisor came to me and requested that I carry this legislation, of course, I was happy to work with him and get it passed.” said Assemblywoman Gunther.
