Brook-Krasny Attends Groundbreaking at Bay Ridge Center for Seniors’ New Location
Assemblyman Alec Brook-Krasny (R,C-Coney Island) proudly helped ‘break ground’ at the Bay Ridge Center for Seniors’ new location on Bay Ridge Avenue in Brooklyn. The center provides services and support for adults 60 years and older and will contain a state-of-the-art fitness center tailored to older adults and will house the organization’s food preparation hub which serves 650 hot, cooked meals to homebound seniors each day.
“This was a wonderful event for our entire community,” Brook-Krasny said. “Bay Ridge has one of the largest senior populations in all of the five boroughs and this new facility will touch and support the lives of countless older adults who deserve our care and compassion. Thank you to the entire staff and board of directors at Bay Ridge Center, especially Executive Director Todd Fliedner, for their tireless work, and Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis for delivering the bulk of the funding for this project.”
