“This budget process has been nothing short of a disaster,” said Brook-Krasny. “One month and ten deadline extenders later, and we have still not seen a finished product. This isn’t the leadership New Yorkers deserve. Gov. Hochul has had every chance to work with the state Legislature, yet at every turn she has pushed us out of the conversation. These are the actions of a governor who is unwilling to listen to the needs of everyday New Yorkers. It’s time for Gov. Hochul to come to the table and work with us to pass a budget that brings down costs and keeps our communities safe.”
