Goodell, Giglio Share Student Work With Colleagues And Guests
Artwork gains a following by legislative staff and representatives
Assemblyman Andy Goodell (R,C–Chautauqua) recently joined Assemblyman Joe Giglio (R,I,C-Gowanda) to view artwork created by participants of Chautauqua Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Council’s (CASAC) 2012 Alcohol Awareness Month and The Resource Center. The artwork, some of which is for sale, already has gained a following by legislative staffers.
“The artwork from both the CASAC and the Resource Center brings an uplifting spirit to the hallways of the LOB,” said Goodell. “These local artists have done tremendous work and should be extremely proud of their accomplishments. I want to extend a special thanks to the artists for allowing me to share their work with my colleagues. Since bringing the artwork to Albany, numerous colleagues and staff have gone out of their way to comment on how it has brightened the hallways and their day.”
The artwork will remain on display through the end of session. Proceeds from the sale of various pieces of the artwork will help expand the art program over the coming years.
