Santabarbara Delivers Funding to Amsterdam Fire Department
Commitment to public safety investment for new fire apparatus in advance of Tuesday’s ‘National Night Out’ Celebration
Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara announced significant funding in the amount of $350,000 he secured for the Amsterdam Fire Department. The funding has allowed for the purchase of a new fire apparatus, a Pierce Enforcer 100’ mid-mount Tower ladder. The vehicle was unveiled today will service the City of Amsterdam as Tower 4.

This investment will empower them with a new state-of-the-art fire apparatus, ensuring they have the tools they need to protect and save lives. As the Assemblyman representing the great city of Amsterdam, my commitment to our community's safety remains unwavering, and I will continue to advocate for the resources that our brave first responders deserve. "Frequent breakdowns with our old truck forced us to act a year sooner than we planned to purchase a new one," explained Mayor Mike Cinquanti, and Assemblyman Santabarbara's ability to secure a grant enabled us to move forward with that purchase without negative impact on our financial planning.
