Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara will be joining the excitement at Big Picture Schenectady, City of Schenectady’s new satellite high school, as students attend their very first day of school. The assemblyman will help welcome students, parents, teachers, and school staff as they return for the start of a new academic year.

Assemblyman Santabarbara is committed to supporting education in our community and believes in the importance of a strong start to a child's educational journey. His visit to Big Picture Schenectady aims to inspire and young students as they embark on their educational adventure.

At Big Picture Schenectady, students work in small advisories, and create Individual Learning Plans where they can think about their world and their ability to influence it using their own strengths, passions, and experiences. Students experiment, grow and learn through these foundational opportunities. They will gain valuable college and career skills through authentic learning experiences that are connected to the community and co-created with their advisors and mentors.Finally, families are essential partners in all aspects of the secondary educational experiences at Big Picture Schenectady and participate in multiple facets of school life.
