Inaugural Hamburg Street Festival Scheduled
The Hamburg Street Festival of Rotterdam, NY is pleased to announce the participation of most of the almost 70 local businesses, not-for-profit, governmental and faith-based organizations. This first-of-its-kind community celebration will take place: Saturday, September 16, from noon to 6:00 pm along Hamburg Street in Rotterdam.
The theme of the event is “Celebrating Summer to the Fullest.” Outdoor and indoor events will include live music, an Elvis impersonator, games for children and adults, bake sales, arts & crafts, kite decorating and health and educational presentations on family safety. Businesses, including restaurants, will be open and offering specials and/or giveaways to visitors.
Hamburg Street has nearly 70 businesses and organizations. The majority of them are women-owned. Most will be participating in The Hamburg Street Festival.
Local elected officials will join the celebration. These include Representative Paul Tonko, State Senator Neil D. Breslin, and Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara.
