This situation has particular relevance in light of DocGo's operations in Rotterdam, New York, where they relocated migrants to the Super 8 Motel without prior communication or coordination with local officials, resulting in the displacement of a vulnerable population in our community.

However, my concerns extend beyond the actions of one individual. They underscore systemic issues within DocGo. The ongoing Attorney General’s investigation into the company's operations aims to uncover what was happening behind closed doors. I called for this investigation because I believe it’s critical for holding accountable any entity entrusted with the care and housing of migrants, ensuring their welfare and the well-being of our residents.

Additionally, I commend New York City Comptroller Brad Lander's justified rejection of the $432 million no-bid contract with DocGo, citing their lack of experience and transparency. This situation underscores the urgent need for a rigorous vetting process for such contracts, ensuring accountability and transparency while safeguarding the interests of our residents and migrants alike.”
