This afternoon, Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara proudly presented a New York State Assembly Proclamation to recognize a truly inspiring milestone: the 100th edition of Dylan’s Dish, a remarkable newsletter created and published by Dylan Biddle, an individual with disabilities who has become a beacon of perseverance and creativity in the community.

The event, held at Liberty ARC’s Maple Ridge, celebrated Dylan’s incredible journey of overcoming challenges, honing his skills, and inspiring others. Since 2016, Dylan has used his talents to develop Dylan’s Dish into an influential platform that uplifts and connects individuals, particularly those with disabilities, encouraging them to break down barriers and reach their full potential.

“Dylan Biddle is a shining example of determination, innovation, and heart,” said Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara. “As an individual with disabilities, he has not only excelled personally but has also empowered others by showing that anything is possible with dedication and resilience.”

Dylan’s journey began with the basics, using Microsoft Word with the support of others. Today, he independently creates visually vibrant newsletters with colorful graphics and illustrations, showcasing his growth and commitment to continuous learning. His milestone 100th edition is especially notable for featuring an exclusive interview with Acting Commissioner Willow Bear of the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities, highlighting his growing reach and impact.

“Dylan’s Dish is more than a newsletter – it’s a testament to what can be achieved when we believe in ourselves and work to inspire others,” Santabarbara continued. “Dylan’s hard work, creativity, and dedication have enriched countless lives in our community, and it is my honor to recognize this incredible achievement with a proclamation from the New York State Assembly.”

As Chair of the Assembly’s Committee on People with Disabilities, Assemblyman Santabarbara emphasized the importance of recognizing and supporting the contributions of individuals with disabilities. “Dylan’s accomplishments remind us of the importance of inclusion and the unique talents everyone brings to our communities,” he said.
