“This week’s court ruling is a major step forward for the St. Clare’s pensioners and their families. The court not only rejected the Diocese’s attempt to dismiss the case – it affirmed what we’ve said all along: these workers earned their pensions and promises made must be promises kept.

I’ve stood with these former nurses, caregivers, and hospital staff for more than a decade. They dedicated their lives to caring for others, and it’s time they see justice.

With the case now moving to trial, I’ll continue doing everything I can at the state level to ensure accountability and restitution. This fight is far from over, but we now have momentum – and we’re not backing down.”
