“On the surface, it appears that the Governor’s blueprint aligns with my many of my top priorities and we will be able to continue moving forward so that businesses in New York can thrive, students can receive top-notch educations and families can keep more of their hard-earned money.

Furthermore, I would like to see an expansion of the upstate film tax credit in any final budget. When the Governor vetoed my legislation that did so, he had made it clear that any expansion should be discussed in the 2014-15 budget negotiations. I will not give up that fight and I firmly believe our counties should be included in this program.

I am ready to start pouring through the details so that we can pass another on-time, fiscally responsible state budget.”
