Assemblyman Santabarbara to Hold Second Annual Women of Distinction Awards
As part of Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara's (D-Rotterdam) ongoing effort to pay tribute to the exceptional women who work and live in our region, he will be hosting the second Annual Women of Distinction Awards for the 111th Assembly District on April 27.
The celebration will recognize and highlight six local women who were nominated by members of the community and selected from a panel of previous honorees. This year’s ceremony will recognize women from a diverse collection of fields, including business, community involvement, education, non-profit leadership and public service.
“At some point in our lives, all of us have known remarkable women in our communities who were committed to making a difference,” said Assemblyman Santabarbara. “I’m proud to recognize a handful of these dedicated women at our second Annual Women of Distinction Awards and I hope members of the public will join us for this important recognition ceremony.”
This year’s winners include:
- Business – Adine Viscusi
- Community Service – Marva Isaacs
- Education – Barbara Wilgocki
- Future Leader – Lauren Crandall
- Non-Profit Leadership – Jamaica Miles
- Public Service – Cora Schroeter
The event will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the River Stone Manor in Glenville on Monday, April 27. Members of the community are encouraged to attend the ceremony to help recognize this impressive group of honorees.
