Santabarbara Backs State Legislature’s Creation of Kiwanis License Plates
Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara (D-Rotterdam) announced that the state Legislature has approved the creation of distinct license plates for Kiwanis International (A.486-A/S.438-A). Kiwanis International is a global organization dedicated to strengthening our communities through fundraising and volunteer services.
“I have always been a strong supporter of our local Kiwanis clubs because they are making a difference in our communities and their members are committed to achieving a brighter future for all our children. These license plates will serve as a reminder of the positive footprint of Kiwanis International and be a source of pride for members living in New York,” said Assemblyman Santabarbara.
“It’s appropriate that on the 100th anniversary of Kiwanis International that Assemblyman Santabarbara and his colleagues have approved the creation of distinctive plates for our organization. This will allow our members to proudly display their affiliation with Kiwanis and help promote the positive work we are doing in communities across New York and around the globe,” said Michael Della Rocco, president of the Kiwanis Club of Schenectady.
Assemblyman Santabarbara has been an active partner with the Kiwanis Club of Schenectady, including serving as their celebrity bartender for their Battle of the Bartenders fundraisers. Earlier this year he also presented Della Rocco with a proclamation commemorating the 100th anniversary of Kiwanis International.
