“Delivering tax relief for hardworking families is essential, and I’m proud to help put money back into the pockets of upstate taxpayers with this end of session agreement. The property tax relief program we are establishing will benefit working families in upstate New York with tax rebate checks that will return a significant portion of their local taxes.

“We also extended the tax cap for four more years because it has been an excellent tool in our upstate region, holding down property taxes for families. To build on this success, I’ll continue to advocate for meaningful mandate relief, support for our local governments and a continued investment in our schools.”
