Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara will cut the ribbon for the freshly renovated basketball courts at Veterans Park in the City of Amsterdam. In August, Santabarbara presented the City of Amsterdam with a check of $10,000 in state funding he secured for the refurbishment of the city’s basketball courts.

“Our parks serve as a gathering place for people of all ages to connect with each other and form long-lasting memories,” said Assemblyman Santabarbara. “The pandemic taught us just how important these outdoor spaces are, especially for our youth. By supporting this much-needed refurbishment local kids will have a well-designed place to stay active, engage with family and friends, and feel a sense of community.”
