Assemblyman Santabarbara Tours Executive Group Millwork Facility in Recognition of Manufacturing Month 2021
Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara toured the Executive Group millwork manufacturing facility and warehouse in Amsterdam on Friday, October 8th, in recognition of Manufacturing Month 2021.
“Modern manufacturing is a dynamic and rapidly growing industry, one that is essential to the economic success of our state,” said Santabarbara. “The City of Amsterdam has a long, rich history as a manufacturing hub and today’s tour is a testament to that revival – and the success secured by Executive Group is a true inspiration to our community. Many of our upstate cities are perfectly positioned to dominate these emerging industries and I intend to do my part to facilitate the resources needed to help cities like Amsterdam thrive.”
“The City of Amsterdam's infrastructure, affordable spaces and ease of access to major markets are attributes that can well serve companies looking for a place to set up manufacturing and warehousing operations in the northeast region of our Country,” said Mayor Michael Cinquanti. “What Lance Orcutt and Executive Group are doing in our City is turning those attributes into a real-world, cutting edge success story. Our City is so fortunate to be home to this great and growing Company.”
Executive Group was initially founded as a two-person millwork installation company in May 2007, has now grown into a state-of-the-art factory with nearly 1,000,000 square feet of company-owned warehouse space and manufacturing facilities and over 150 employees. Amsterdam provides an ideal location to serve clients across the northeast corridor of our nation, Santabarbara noted.
“Moving our company to Amsterdam was a key opportunity to expand our business and gain a stronger foothold in the northeast,” said Lance Orcutt, co-founder and president of Executive Group. “I thank Assemblyman Santabarbara for highlighting the rewarding career opportunities offered here at our facility and other manufactures across the state. We’ve had great local partners that have helped us continue to grow and build a bright future here in the Mohawk Valley.”
Manufacturing Month is held annually in October to showcase modern manufacturing and inspire the next generation of workers. Innovations in manufacturing have birthed new careers that require highly skilled workers, from bioengineers to robotics technicians. Santabarbara hopes local students consider pursuing one of the countless opportunities available in advanced manufacturing.
