Beephan Reflects on 2024 Legislative Session

“Six months is a short time to get things done in government, but we have wins this year we can be proud of. Thanks to collaboration between legislators and the public, the congestion pricing proposal from the Metropolitan Transportation Authority has been halted indefinitely, which will save commuters their hard-earned money as they travel in and out of Manhattan. And we passed Melanie’s Law in the Assembly this year, a landmark vote in the continued fight to bring justice to victims of domestic violence. There’s always more to do, but this year, I am proud of what we have achieved.”
