Manktelow Championing Veterans Funding
Assemblyman Brian Manktelow (R,C,I-Lyons) today attended a press conference in the New York State Capitol alongside Assemblyman Jake Ashby, Assemblyman Ed Ra and members of the Assembly Minority Conference to call on Gov. Hochul and legislative leaders to “Invest in Vets” in the upcoming 2022-23 State Budget. The legislators have joined forces to propose a pandemic relief package that invests $500 million to support veterans’ services and organizations across New York.
“This relief package would be a triumph for all veterans and their families,’ Manktelow said. “It is a travesty with how often the brave men and women of our armed services are left behind in the politics of Albany. Supporting those who have sacrificed so much and doing what we can to repay our debt to them should always be a priority. I am very proud to support this legislation and urge all my colleagues in the Assembly to do the same. The money is there, lets give it to those who have given so much to us all.”
