Manktelow Supports Local Roads Upstate
A statement from Assemblyman Brian Manktelow (R,C,I,Ref-Lyons)
March 5, 2020
I fully support the push for additional funding and the restoration of the Extreme Winter Recovery program, which was cut by Gov. Cuomo in his proposed executive budget. Im also calling for the money to be distributed evenly, instead of mostly going downstate to the MTA. Local roads matter across New York. All of our bridges and roads need to be fixed, not just those downstate where, yes, there is a higher population. We need to make sure these roads are not only safe for everyday use by residents, but also so firefighters, police officers and EMS can do their jobs in a timely manner.
