Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie recently appointed Assemblyman Charles D. Fall as chair of the Subcommittee on Consumer Fraud and Protection.

The subcommittee resolves and provides information for consumer fraud protection and seeks to ensure fair and vigorous practices in the marketplace. The subcommittee also drafts legislation conducts hearings, and writes reports on emerging state consumer fraud problems and issues.

“I am honored the Assembly Speaker appointed me to this important subcommittee.  I look forward to taking on this new venture designed to protect the most vulnerable, namely seniors, young adults and disabled.  In today’s world all New Yorkers should be protected from fraudulent activity,” said Fall.
