In what appears to be a well-planned terrorist attack at two mosques in the New Zealand city of Christchurch on Friday, the death toll has now reached 49 people and 20 seriously injured, many including innocent children.

Three men and one woman were arrested in the immediate aftermath of the mass shooting. One man has already been charged with murder and will appear in court Saturday morning. The other three were apprehended with possession of firearms and local law enforcement continues to investigate their involvement.

In a social media post just before the attack, an account believed to belong to one of the attackers posted a link to a multiple page manifesto that contained anti-immigrant, Muslim content. Local law enforcement is currently investigating a video shared online and broadcasted live during the attack, which claims to show a gunman walking into a mosque and opening fire.
