North Shore, New York – New York State Assembly Judiciary Chairman Charles Lavine (D-North Shore) has secured a grant the North Shore Central School District. The $250,000 DASNY grant was formally announced and approved at a meeting of the Board of Education on Thursday (9/22/22). The district plans to use the money to fund its softball field improvement project at North Shore Middle School. 

“Public education is the heart and soul of this community,” Lavine said. “It’s critical that we make sensible investments in our communities and it gives me great pleasure to help North Shore Schools make much-needed improvements which will enrich the lives of its students.”
