Glen Cove, New York – Assemblymember Charles Lavine (D-North Shore), President of the New York Chapter of the National Association of Jewish Legislators and a member of the NAJL’s National Board of Directors, issued the following statement following confirmation of the death of Omer Neutra:

“I am devastated by this tragic news and want to express my deepest condolences to Ronen and Orna Neutra, along with their family and loved ones as they begin the process of mourning. As we continue to pray for the safe return of all the kidnapped Israelis and Americans and support Israel in its battle for survival, we honor the memory of this true hero who gave his life in the defense of democracy.”
