Lavine Secures Funds for Glen Cove Senior Center

Glen Cove, New York – Assemblymember Charles D. Lavine (D–Glen Cove) is pleased to announce a state grant of $18,000 for the Glen Cove Senior Center.

“The Glen Cove Senior Center has played a crucial role in our community, serving as a local hub for nearby residents to spend time and further enhance their lives,” said Assemblymember Charles Lavine. “I commend Carol Waldman and her entire staff for all the work they do, and I look forward to the ongoing development of the center for years to come.”

Earlier this week, the Senior Center confirmed receipt of the grant and plans to use the crucial funds towards further developing current programs as well as creating new programs for enrollees to partake in. A portion of the funds will also be used for the Center’s “Circle of Friends” event.

“We are so appreciative of Assemblyman Lavine’s consistent support over the years,” said Glen Cove Senior Center Executive Director, Carol Waldman. “This grant will enhance our existing programs and allow us the opportunity to explore potential new programs for our seniors.”
