Glen Cove, New York – Assemblymember Charles Lavine (D-Glen Cove) has secured a programmatic funding grant to the Plainview-Old Bethpage Senior Citizens Club.The funding will be used to help the club provide services such as transportation and social gatherings where members can enjoy activities and meals among friends.Director Lori Charletta was on hand today as the club thanked Lavine at their Welcome Back Breakfast.Lavine told the group he takes great pride in helping a club that does so much for the community.

“There is nothing I like more than being able to spend money for good reasons and good causes.Our senior clubs throughout Long Island are at the cutting edge of dealing with maintaining a sense of community,” Lavine said.
