We are looking over the edge of a cliff in these coming years when it comes to retaining sufficient staffing of home care workers, and that is why throughout this session and the budget process I will be fighting to pass Fair Pay for Home Care. None of us should accept the fact that about half of our home care workers are living below the poverty line, and this year I intend to finally secure fair compensation for these vital, big-hearted professionals.”
