Congresswoman Stefanik Joins Tague For First Official Tour Of Schoharie County
Assemblyman Chris Tague (R,C,I-Schoharie), who serves as both Assemblyman for New York’s 102nd Assembly District and Chairman of the Schoharie County, today joined the third highest ranking Congressional Minority member and Chairwoman of the Congressional Caucus, Elise Stefanik (NY-21), for her first official tour of Schoharie County.
The tour started at Maple Downs Farm in Middleburgh, and then continued at the Schoharie County Office Building where Tague and Stefanik met with local and county officials. They also held a press conference with reporters.
“Elise is someone who knows firsthand what life in small town America is like and what needs to be done both in Albany and in Washington to help rural economies thrive,” said Tague. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Congresswoman Stefanik to give our region a louder voice on the national stage, and I was honored to show her some of what makes our county so special today. It’s not often a humble community like ours has a chance to be represented by a lawmaker of Congresswoman Stefanik’s caliber, so I look forward to working together closely to address the needs of our Schoharie County communities.”
“I am excited and ready to hit the ground running by working in partnership with Assemblyman Chris Tague and local elected officials to bring the concerns and priorities of Schoharie County to the highest levels of government in Albany and Washington,” said Stefanik. “I am committed to focusing like a laser on delivering real results to Schoharie County farms, small businesses and families.”
