Assemblyman Chris Tague (R,C,I,Ref-Schoharie) is pleased to announce $456.8 million has been allocated for the 2019-2020 heating season for the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP). Eligibility for HEAP benefits is based on household income and if a member of said household is receiving public assistance. “Summer is over folks, and we’re rapidly approaching another winter here in New York,” Tague said. “If you’re concerned about heating your home as we get into the colder months, please look up the HEAP benefit. The Home Energy Assistance Program helps ensure all New Yorkers have a safe and warm home during New York’s heavy winters. I encourage everyone to take a look at the program and be informed.”
