Tague Applauds Announcement That Impeachment Investigation Will Look into Past Scandals
“Hearing that this impeachment probe will be comprehensive and address possible acts of corruption and wrongdoing other than the sexual harassment scandals is encouraging news for the future of politics in Albany. Between the Moreland Commission and the ‘Buffalo Billion’ to the recent nursing home deaths, the structural integrity of the Mario Cuomo Bridge and all of the other scandals that have arisen over the years all while the governor has maintained a stranglehold over JCOPE, there is a lot of potential corruption and criminality to bring to light. We should be looking as far back as his days as Attorney General to see just how honest he's been throughout his career in public service, and to help assure we can prevent abuse of power by the executive branch moving forward.”
