Tague Joins Local Officials in Unveiling New Paramedic Fly Cars for Schoharie County Office of Emergency Services
Assemblyman Chris Tague (R,C,I-Schoharie) was joined by Director of the Schoharie County Office of Emergency Services Mike Hartzel, Chairman of the Schoharie County Board of Supervisors Bill Federice and Schoharie County EMS Director Edward Brandt in unveiling new paramedic fly cars for the county. Tague played an instrumental role in securing a $50,000 Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) grant that made it possible for the Schoharie County Office of Emergency Services to purchase these much-needed vehicles.
“In a rural area like ours, first responders need all the tools we can give them to get out to people when they need help most with allthe equipment they’ll need to save lives,” said Tague. “I am thrilled we were able to secure the DASNY grant that made the purchase of these vehicles possible, and will consequently make Schoharie County a safer place to live and work for everybody. The vigilant service of our first responders is what allows us to live safely and peacefully in our homes, so it was my honor to help them secure these vital, life-saving fly cars.”
“I want to thank Chris Tague for helping us purchase these new paramedic fly-cars,” said Hartzel. “These vehicles will be instrumental in providing service to the residents of Schoharie County. We are using these new fly-cars to replace some of our aging fleet. This purchase will greatly assist our volunteer agencies throughout the county with Advanced Life Support capabilities.”
“We are very thankful to Assemblyman Tague for getting us this grant,” said Federice. “We understand that many other requests were made for this grant funding and are glad Chris recognized our need.”
