Assembly Member O’Donnell Attends Governor’s Education Reform Hearing
October 16, 2012
Assembly Member Daniel O’Donnell, the only Manhattan member of the New York State Assembly’s Education Committee, attended today's public hearing for Governor Cuomo’s New NY Education Reform Commission. After the event, O’Donnell noted,
I was glad to have the opportunity today to hear from so many members of our community, and pleased the Education Reform Commission came to my Assembly District to hear about some of the unique educational challenges and needs of New York City’s students. I look forward to working with Assembly Education Committee Chair Catherine Nolan, as well as the Governor and the State Senate, to continue to expand the opportunities available to every New York child.
Assembly Member O’Donnell’s most recent education bill was the cyberbullying addition to the Dignity for All Students Act, which passed this spring. He continues to advocate for strong, inclusive public schools.
