McDonough To Majorities: “Hold Session Daily Until Budget Is Passed”
Assembly Minority ready to perform constitutional responsibilities
April 8, 2010
Assemblyman Dave McDonough today released the following statement upon the Assembly Majority gaveling out of session shortly after the start of session:
“The actions taken by the Assembly Majority today show how deep their disregard for the taxpayers of New York runs. New York has been without a budget for a week now with no discussions taking place and no schedule for conference committees having been released. The Assembly Minority is ready to work whenever those on the other side of the aisle realize the devastating effects their inaction is having on families, businesses, schools and municipalities throughout the state.”
