Assemblyman Dave McDonough (R,C,I-Merrick) will host two programs to help Long Island families prepare for hurricane season. The second program will be held on Wednesday, August 8 at 7:00 p.m. at the Wantagh Fire Department, 3470 Park Avenue, Wantagh NY 11793.

The 2011 Hurricane season brought Tropical Storm Irene to Long Island and caused serious destruction in its wake. An estimated 450,000 customers on the Island lost power and 40 people died nationwide as a result of the storm.
