Assemblyman Dave McDonough (R,C,I-Merrick) recently joined the fifth grade class at Saw Mill Elementary School, where he discussed the similarities and differences between the New York State and U.S. governments.
“I found these students to be extremely well versed in the organization of our federal government,” said McDonough. “Their ability to correctly answer every question I posed was impressive. Additionally, their knowledge of all of their elected representatives, federal, state and county, was enlightening. I congratulate the teachers, parents and students for doing such a wonderful job.”
