McDonough’s Blood Drive A Success
McDonough, Long Island Blood Services thank donors for their participation
Assemblyman Dave McDonough (R,C,I-Merrick) hosted a blood drive along with the Long Island Blood Services and their volunteers to help combat the ongoing blood shortage. Nearly 100 local residents took time out of their day to donate blood, which will be used here on Long Island to help those in need.
“The overwhelming generosity shown by the donors is a reflection of what makes our community so special,” said McDonough. “I want to thank Christopher and the nearly 100 people who participated for their efforts. The blood donated will be used to help those in need right here on Long Island. Without the support of concerned residents, our hospitals would be facing an even greater blood shortage. I want to thank Long Island Blood Services and all of our generous donors for their efforts.”
The blood drive collected 73 units of blood which will now be used in communities across Long Island.
