McDonough Presents Assembly Proclamation On Pay It Forward Day
Students take part in international initiative to promote kindness
Assemblyman Dave McDonough (R,C,I-Merrick) recently presented an Assembly Proclamation to Wellington C. Mepham High School for its efforts to promote random acts of kindness in the school and community. The school took part in the annual Pay It Forward Day, encouraging people from all walks of life to give to someone else and make a positive difference.
“Pay it Forward Day encourages people to do good deeds for others without asking for anything in return except for the recipients to pay it forward to others in need,” said McDonough. “The students’ efforts to promote random acts of kindness remind us of the good that is in each of us. Promoting positive change in our community and world – one good deed at a time – should be a part of our lives every day.”
