McDonough Hosting Blood Drive On Thursday, August 8
Local blood banks in urgent need of support
Assemblyman Dave McDonough (R,C,I-Merrick) announced today that he will be hosting a blood drive in support of Long Island Blood Services. The blood drive will take place on Thursday, August 8 from 1:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the American Legion Post 1749, 1298 Newbridge Road, North Bellmore.
“Your support today can save someone’s life tomorrow, and our local blood banks have a tremendous need for all blood types,” said McDonough. “Long Islanders are always generous with their support and we’re tremendously thankful for that. Through your donation, you can improve the lives of those in our community at a time when they need help the most. I am proud to host this event with Long Island Blood Services and strongly encourage all who are eligible to attend and donate.”
Long Island Blood Services will also be providing two tickets to an upcoming New York Mets game to donors.

- Be age 16-75 (16-year-olds must have parental permission);
