McDonough Presents Proclamation To Mepham High School Seniors
Senior Class honors Giuliana Geller for her courageous battle with Undifferentiated Sarcoma
Assemblyman Dave McDonough (R,C,I-Merrick) today presented an Assembly Proclamation to the 2014 Senior Class at Wellington C. Mepham High School. The senior class has worked with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation to raise awareness and funds to benefit childhood cancer research. Their efforts are being made on behalf of Giuliana Geller who is battling Undifferentiated Sarcoma. Giuliana is the daughter of Mrs. Jacqueline Geller, a social studies teacher at the school.
“The Senior Class at Wellington C. Mepham High School has been deeply affected by Giuliana Geller’s diagnosis, and their efforts on behalf of St. Baldrick’s Foundation are tremendous,” said McDonough. “The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a great charity that has helped raise awareness about research to find cures for childhood cancers. St. Baldrick’s work benefits the nearly 175,000 children who are diagnosed with cancer each year. I want to applaud the seniors for their efforts on behalf of Giuliana; they have done a wonderful job.”
