McDonough: Blood Drive With Long Island Blood Services Successful
April 22, 2014
This week, Assemblyman Dave McDonough (R,C,I-Merrick) hosted a blood drive with Long Island Blood Services and its volunteers to help combat the ongoing blood shortage. Nearly 30 local residents took time out of their day to donate blood, which will be used here on Long Island to help those in need.
“I want to thank our local residents for the generosity they’ve shown,” said McDonough. “I want to thank Steven and all the other residents who participated. The blood donated will be used to help those in need right here on Long Island. Without the support of concerned residents, our hospitals would be facing an even greater blood shortage. I want to thank Long Island Blood Services and all of our generous donors for their efforts.”
