Assemblyman Dave McDonough (R,C,I-Merrick) today announced the return of his free car seat safety check on Friday, June 5, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Cure of Ars Church at 2323 Merrick Avenue in Merrick. The event will be held in conjunction with the Nassau County Traffic Safety Board. Appointments are required, and interested constituents should contact McDonough’s district office at (516) 409-2070.

“I am excited to once again host a free car seat safety check for local residents,” McDonough said. “My commitment to public safety has not changed, and I am working tirelessly to inform my constituents of the dangers associated with outdated and faulty car seats. Everything from the positioning of a car seat, to the height and weight of a child, to construction of the car seat are integral factors that are important to consider when traveling with your child. I encourage all of my constituents to attend this event because a couple of minutes of your time could save your child’s life.”
