Assemblyman Dave McDonough (R,C,I-Merrick) will be hosting a free car seat safety check on Friday, June 5 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Cure of Ars Church located at 2323 Merrick Ave in Merrick. Appointments are required and anyone interested should contact McDonough’s district office at (516) 409-2070 or by email at mcdonoughd@assembly.state.ny.us.

“This is a free event that I encourage all parents of small children in my district to attend,” McDonough said. “Several factors that are often glossed over play a significant role in determining the safety of your child in the event of a crash. My goal is to inform the public about how to properly install a car seat and which one is appropriate for your child’s height and weight. Only a couple minutes of your time could save your child’s life.”
