Long Island Awarded $98.3 Million In Economic Development Funding For 121 Projects
“I am pleased to announce that, as a result of the Regional Economic Development Council (REDC) awards issued Thursday, December 10, Long Island will receive over $98 million in state funding to help pursue 121 projects. These projects cross a multitude of platforms, from local sewer and water infrastructure improvements to downtown revitalization projects, and funding mechanisms to improve the arts in local communities. Long Island has tremendous untapped potential to create new jobs and attract exciting businesses that will further usher us into the age of technology and innovation. I look forward to working with local leaders and watching these projects progress. This is an amazing time, and I know this funding will yield tremendous benefits for our community.”
