“It is extremely demoralizing to legislators and the public that talks of ethics reform by Assembly leadership have only come to pass as lip service and empty promises. We have an obligation to strengthen the integrity of our offices and prevent the corruption that has plagued Albany for years. Unfortunately, as with many well-intentioned policy proposals, the desire for re-election and pursuit of a politicized agenda has overshadowed doing what’s right, and that is shameful. I will not stop fighting until corrupt lawmakers face the consequences of their actions and lose their taxpayer-funded pensions.”
