McDonough Helps Deliver Permanent Property Tax Cap
Assemblyman Dave McDonough (R,C,I-Merrick) lauds the inclusion of a permanent 2 percent property tax cap in final state budget.
Today is the culmination of a long effort by the Assembly Minority Conference to bring about meaningful tax relief to New York residents who desperately need it. Addressing the reckless spending and tax increases by Assembly Majority will be the last piece to the puzzle.
In addition, I have been insistent that raises for direct-care workers and a full restoration of Aid and Incentives to Municipalities (AIM) funding be included in the budget since the beginning of this legislative session and I am pleased to see these programs restored.
Although I largely disagree with the budget priorities of politicians in Albany such as soft on crime initiatives, handouts for illegals and increased taxes and fees on New Yorkers, I will continue to use my voice in Albany to advocate for reforms that are critical for Nassau County and New York State.
